About The Annexe Healthy Living Centre
The Annexe Healthy Living Centre offers health improvement opportunities to individuals and community groups in the heart of Partick. We organise a wide and varied programme of activities and events and operate a Healthy Eating Café which provides healthy meals at affordable prices in a welcoming environment. We aim to be fully inclusive and accessible to the wider community and particularly welcome people with poor mental health. We have a comprehensive Community Referral Programme which includes:
- Free Complimentary Therapies taster sessions
- Yoga & Tai Chi Classes
- Paths to Health Walking Groups
- Partick Half Stoners - a weight management support network
- Free Contraception through C-Card services
- Volunteering Opportunities
- Healthy Eating & Diet Advice
- Comprehensive Learning Programme; Literacy, ESOL and ICT classes
- Art, Violin, Stained Glass Classes
To promote Community Health we support a calendar of yearly events; Health Check Days, International Women’s Day, Men’s Health Days. The Annexe is also a base for a wider programme of health related activities:
Learning
The Annexe Healthy Literacy Project supports adults improving basic skills in an integrated approach to learning; song writing, video skills and ICT training. Broader learning opportunities are also available at the Annexe from our partners in Community Learning and Anniesland College e.g.
