Learning at The Annexe Healthy Living Centre.
We support adults improving basic skills in an integrated approach to learning; Adult Literacy & Numeracy, E.S.O.L. (English for Speakers of Other Langauages) and basic ICT training (beginners computing and digital photography).
Broader learning opportunities are also available at the Annexe Healthy Living Centre from our partners in Community Learning and Development, Anniesland College and Metropolitan College. These include:
- First Aid Training;
- Food Hygiene Classes;
- Health & Safety Certificated Training;
Adult Literacy & Numeracy
The Annexe Healthy Living Centre offers a flexible programme of dedicated and integrated/applied Adult Literacy & Numeracy learning to those living wihin the Central & West area of Glasgow, open to everyone over 16 from all backgrounds and walks of life.
We think that learning should be flexible, so we offer morning, afternoon & evening classes for you to attend which include:
- Adult Literacy & Numeracy (brush up your reading, writing, spelling and numbers);
- E.S.O.L. (English for Speakers of Other Languages);
- Beginners computing;
- Digital photography.
When we can we also deliver other classes which can include:
- Digital film making;
- Cooking on a budget;
- Music & Audio recording.
Volunteer tutors needed!
We regularly take on volunteer tutors to help support the delivery of our Adult Literacies programme. Please contact us if you'd like to get involved or want more information. In return we'll point you in the right direction, supporting you to develop your skills and train for the future.
